Double and Single exposure Film Photography
My film photography ranges from themed shoots with humans in nature and urban setting to urban and nature shots with no human forms. I develop all of my film myself. Most of my work is available to purchase in prints. I am available to book for custom shoots.
Immortalize this chapter in your life. I believe photography especially film to be an experience of potent presence in the body and psyche. It is an opportunity for us to fully embody our physical form and merge the mystical with reality. Double exposure allows us to step into other dimensions and catch it on film. I use my intuition to to capture the essence of a person. My goal is for you to feel truly witnessed in a safe environment that we cocreate and then you have photographs to cherish always.
Themed Photoshoots
For themed work I start with a vision and gather materials for the set and then select the right film for the mood. Film is always more about the experience. stillness and patience are required. There is no digital image to pull you out of the moment. Presence is absolute. During these sessions altered states are entered. The setting is laid out and the model becomes the characters they are invoking. A ritual is carried out and we leave feeling exalted from the transformation that has taken place. That night I process the film. I go into the dark and carefully load the film by feel alone. This part feels particularly ceremonial since here is where the images are taken from complete darkness and transformed into the light. I then process the film while dancing to music and leave the negatives to dry by my bed while I dream. The next day I scan the negatives and reveal what was created.
Intimate Portraits
Celebrate your love and capture the art of what you have created together. These sessions can be done indoors or outdoors in your favorite setting. I will follow you around and immortalize your sweetness.
Group Shoots
Gather up your friends and we will head out to your favorite spot and I will photograph this current era of your community. I will get shots of all of you together, a couple and several of you at a time and some solo portraits. This is a wonderful way to engage in this treasured experience collectively and affordably.
Pole Dance Photoshoot
Celebrate your pole dance journey with a photoshoot! This can be done outdoors on a portable pole or indoors at the Joy Emporium or at your home pole. Pole dancing is one of the most challenging movements out there and it is an honor to capture you as liquid art.
Nature Photography
One of my favorite things to do is to wander aimlessly alone in nature with my camera. All of my nature shots you find in my gallery are available for purchase in print.
Senior Portraits
There is a tradition for seniors in high school to get portraits taken in their final year at home before they transition into adulthood. It has been an honor to get to work with these people and their parents during this monumental time. I strive to capture their unique personality in these photos for them and their family to enjoy throughout the following years.
